Travel Stamps
When you tag a place in your trip that hasn't been discovered yet on Beenwhere.com, you'll receive a travel stamp. Wear these with pride, they show off your explorer status! close
I’ve taken a lot of adventures because I wanted to see things. I wanted to understand what we do. I chose opportunity, not security (see #1 travel tip). Please contact me with any comments about our site: 253-241-9376 richard.kabanuck@travelweenies.com
I came from a small rural area of North Dakota and grew up on a Farm. I guess maybe growing up in a very organized manner peaked my curiosity as to what the rest of the crazy world lived like. So I developed early on an intense desire to explore much, much further than my backyard, and as soon as I graduated high school I started my exploration, and 10 years later I've never slowed down or stopped.
Eventually I decided to pursue my other dream, flying, and at 22 years old I entered the Air Force Academy and majored in Business Management where the idea for Beenwhere.com was developed. With the combination of the travel opportunities I had and the encouragement of entrepreneurial development by 2 of my instructors, I was compelled to start developing and creating the brand new ideas I'd had for many years.
My dream with Beenwhere.com is to inspire everyone to explore. Use our site to find your next adventure and understand that everything is possible. Let's not waste our experiences, let's open the world to everyone. Have fun!!
1. Don't not explore, or go on a trip because you heard it was dangerous. Go on the trip because you heard it was dangerous and then find out how to keep yourself alive. That's true success.
2. Always bring a compass! You will use it because if you are exploring you will get lost.
3. Travel light! All you need is an airline ticket there. The less planning the more exploring you get done! Buy local clothes to cut your baggage down to one small book bag sized backpack. Bring a tooth brush, soap, and some tape.
4. Explore everything you always wanted to understand.
The more dangerous it sounds, the more rewarding it will likely be. Take the road less traveled so you can be the one people trust to travel with. If you don't have any good stories than you need to start exploring.
